# For developers & partners

{% hint style="info" %}
This section is for developers, agencies, or partners extending or integrating with MG WebDev-built sites.
{% endhint %}

MG WebDev sites use modern, high-performance codebases (optimized themes, clean architecture) with flexibility for custom work, while maintaining speed and security.

#### Common access setup

* Project handover:\
  You will receive the base files, API keys (if applicable), and management portal details.
* Code access:\
  For ongoing collaboration, we provide GIT repo access or zipped sources (upon agreement). Most sites allow extension via custom plugin.
* Environment:\
  Hosted on secure cloud infrastructure with 99.9% uptime. Staging/dev environments are available on request for testing.

#### Custom integrations

* Custom Code:\
  Add functionality via PHP/JS files (you will need to create these files yourself)

#### Best practices for extensions

* Maintain performance: Avoid heavy scripts; test with Google PageSpeed Insights.
* Security: Follow the Cloudflare multi-layered protocols; never expose keys client-side.
* Compatibility: Test on staging before production; respect existing caching/CDN setup.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://support.mgwebdev.eu/documentation/getting-started/for-developers-and-partners.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
